Join The LymeAid Benefit Event on May 22nd, 2013, at The Toyota of Manhattan Rooftop to Celebrate Lyme Disease Awareness Month. Food, drinks, dogs and City views, all for two great causes!
May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month and during this time we are reminded of this common tick borne disease. It’s an important month to encourage people to take the necessary steps to protect themselves and their families and pets. To honor Lyme Disease Awareness Month, we are kicking off a night of awareness for people and pet parents.
The Lyme-Aid Benefit will be held on May 22, 2013, from 7-10pm at Toyota of Manhattan Roof Top where attendees and their pets can enjoy stunning views of the city. The event will aim to educate the public about how to prevent Lyme Disease as well as raise money for two non-profits: LymeDisease.org and Stray From the Heart, a local NYC pet charity.
"As someone who has suffered with the neurological form of Lyme Disease for years, I know the horror of this illness, which most people believe is easy to cure, but it's not, and it can be deadly if not identified in time," said Nikki Moustaki, author, dog trainer, and co-host of the event. "It's crucial that people be made aware of how to protect themselves and their pets from this debilitating disease, as well as how to treat it when and if they are bitten by an infected tick."
There will be special guests and entertainment for all! Enjoy cocktails, open bar, Kamoni Vodka, and food in the Lyme Lounge, pet and people vendors to taste and explore, prizes, a huge raffle table and more. Each attendee will receive an amazing goody bag too, a $75 value.
