Jackson Galaxy, Cat Behaviorist, star of the new Animal Planet show, My Cat From Hell, has adopted The Pet Postcard Project for the months of June & July and will spearhead the PPP's campaign to feed hungry shelter kitties at both The Cat House on the Kings and Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary -- and he needs you to send in your homemade pet postcards!
For this campaign, Freekibble.com has generously pledged 15,000 meals of Halo Spot's Stew for cats to two animal shelters in conjunction with Halo Purely for Pets through The Pet Postcard Project! That's over $8,000 worth of Halo food!
Each rescue has 2 months, June & July, 2011, to bring in 1000 cards each and they will earn 5000 meals each for their shelter. The rescue who brings in the most cards by the end of July will get an additional 5000 meals! Thank you Freekibble.com and Halo!
Check back often to see each shelter's progress and please send in some homemade postcards of your own. Click here to find out how postcards turn into pet food.

Freekibble.com's primary mission is to provide healthy, nutritious food to the dogs and cats at shelters who are working so hard to see that none of their animals go hungry.
Halo, Purely for Pets evolved from three guiding principles: balance, nature and love. They believe that when these are the basis of pet product development, optimum health, vitality and wellness follow.
Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary was started in 2005 to answer the need for a safe place for blind cats that were deemed unadoptable by regular shelters and were going to be killed just because they are blind. MORE . . .
The Cat House on the Kings is California's largest no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center. Their mission is to place rescued cats and kittens into loving, permanent homes; to provide a safe, happy and healthy home for unwanted cats and kittens in a unique, no-cage facility; to prevent pet overpopulation through spaying and neutering; and to educate the public about responsible pet ownership.
